Hacer escuela con palabras: Directores de escuela media frente a la desigualdad
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article explores the role of schools in the production and reproduction of social inequalities. It is based on an empirical research in twenty-four secondary schools located in the city of Buenos Aires and the provinces of Buenos Aires, Neuquén and Salta. Focuses on the findings of interviews to school principals. The analysis runs through folloging axis: how the inclusion of new social groups, particularly marginalized groups, is being perceived, and how it is changing the functions and operations of secondary schools; and hoy particular horizons for school actions are defined and envisaged. We will seek to identify hoy social inequalities are being thought in the educational setting, and will ask if they are also being produced, and not only reproduced, by the school system.
