Educate the ruler of the XXI century
Main Article Content
Abstract
The bicentenary is an opportunity to discuss the proposals of political education produced in times of emancipation and the first centenary. Enlightened pedagogy led to critical education, but had little practical effect, because its purposes were cut by war. Centennial pedagogy emphasized civic engagement and loyalty to the homeland through institutional mechanisms of homogenization and shaping of emotions to assert national identity. At present, it is appropriate to review the validity of both assumptions, redefine their legitimacy and goals, at the same time include the development of creativity as a political virtue.
