Learn to read and write during the last dictatorship

Abstract
The overall objective of this paper is analyze how they were taught to read and write in Buenos Aires province during the last dictatorship, and the important elements in the learning process. Are analyzed programs of the period and previous, books, legislative policies and instructions. Also, the qualitative strategy used a technique conversational. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews to old junior teachers. We conclude that it is not possible to establish a simple overlap in all areas -practice and educational theory, curriculum, teacher's function, student's intellectual formation, etcetera- between the political strategy and education policy dictatorial. The treatment of the case tries to generate a reflection on the dangers of using a political chronology interested in the breaks in the history of education.
