Sexualisation of Recent History. Teaching approach and reflections

Abstract
In the following paper we propose a theoretical and practical approach to the need to fuse recent History with gender theory, with the aim of promoting the construction of a kind of knowledge of the past in which historical processes are analyzed from points of view and historical subjects which had not previously been contemplated by History as a discipline. This proposal also intends to leave behind linear narrations of History, on the one hand, and those which crystallize and prioritize the teaching of historical events by means of a “horror show” on the other. As a counterbalance of this stagnation we introduce two proposals of classwork in which students are encouraged to think about power relations through the lens of gender
