The shadows of Antonio Gramsci in the pedagogical drifts of Hernández Arregui

Abstract
This paper addresses the pedagogical legacy of Hernandez Arregui, specifically regarding his approach on Antonio Gramsci. Although the reception of this Italian communist on the Critical Theory has been well researched, the pedagogical field remains vacant. Hernandez Arregui began with a certain distrust towards Gramsci as "foreign author" but, years later, he turned to his writings in order to question the despise from teachers to popular demonstrations of students. The work of Hernandez Arregui is approached here by proposing an assessment of the Italian communist presence, considered as tangential. The paper also organises a debate regarding the qualification of the pedagogical legacy of Hernandez Arregui as "critical-reproductivistic" and the supposedly appropriation of fundamental concepts of Gramsci as well.
